Athletic Training Day 2018 will be held on Friday, February 23rd on the campus of Oklahoma State University’s Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa, OK. AT Day will be held on the 4th floor of the Tandy Building and is scheduled begin at 9:00am and is set to conclude at 1:30pm. (Check in will begin at 8am).
This year’s program will include numerous athletic trainers from around the state that will be speaking to the variety of job settings available in the profession. The event is organized by the OATA Student Leadership Council and serves as their primary fundraiser. Their goal this year is to bring more awareness to the profession through highlighting both the traditional and non-traditional AT roles. Representatives of the three CAATE Athletic Training Programs in Oklahoma will be on-site to answer any questions students may have.
The cost is $15 per student in attendance and is open to all high school or college students that are interested in learning more about the profession of athletic training. Parents are welcome to attend as well but we do ask that they register and pay the $15 fee. Athletic Trainers’ that bring their students are also asked to register but their registration is discounted to $10. All registrations include a lunch. There is also an optional t-shirt that can be purchased for an additional $15.
